A Hair Place with History
In 1975, Tony Barranca opened up The Hair Lover's Place at 4407 Queen St in Niagara Falls. He'd tried other industries, but didn't find true enjoyment until he started in the world of hair. Originally working as a barber, Tony expanded into women's hair and continues to play a crucial role in day-to-day operations. He's seen the rise, fall, and the reimagining of barbering firsthand.
For years, Tony operated The Hair Lover's Place while Rob runs Back Alley Barber Shop™.
Over time, the Barrancas extended the Back Alley Barbershop™ with a total remodeling while the shop was closed during the pandemic 10 month shut down. Back Alley Barbershop™ survived and is currently one of the oldest oldest family-run business in Niagara Falls, Ontario. |

Back Alley with a Future Where tradition meets trend describes us well. The Back Alley Barbershop™ is an old fashioned barber shop for the twenty first century. In this museum-like atmosphere, you'll find signed memorabilia, traditional shaving stations, and friends new and old.
The walls boast signed celebrity photos and a collection of comics. Reuzel products, in-house shave oil, and more scissors than you can imagine are ready and waiting. For years, the Back Alley has been one of Niagara's best kept secrets, but the word is out and we're leaving no hair unstyled. |
"Hands down best barber shop in the city. Prices are very reasonable. The guys do a great job with my cuts and my kids too. Old school barber shop vibe and a cool feel to the place."
